On its cornice we find a garland formed of large and small flower blossoms and various leaves and vines that is familiar from the predella of the Vigala Church retable. The auricular ornamentation on both sides of the retable\u2019s columns and the flower bouquets woven into it are also found on the M\u00e4rjamaa Church retable created by Ackermann. Similarly to J\u00e4rva-Madise Church, the M\u00e4rjamaa Church retable also consisted of a single storey. Its top was decorated with a flower garland and a corbel in the shape of the head of an angel with spread wings. A statue of Christ the Invincible stood on the corbel flanked on both sides by figures of angels.<\/p>\n<p>Christ the Invincible and the figures of angels that crown the J\u00e4rva-Madise retable resemble Ackermann\u2019s statues on the retables of Martna Church and Tallinn\u2019s Cathedral in terms of their carving style and the way in which they are
