Non-Ackermann-like puttos
The Rapla pulpit’s corbel puttos with soft, folded wings have faces (snub noses, large eyes, cleft chins, etc.) that differ considerably from other pulpits produced by Ackermann’s workshop.
The pulpit’s carving technique and composition nevertheless have a great many features that resemble those of two works in the case of which their connection to Ackermann is documentarily verified (the Märjamaa retable and the Swedish St. Michael’s Church pulpit). Hence it can be presumed that the carved works that differ somewhat from the Rapla pulpit’s other works also originate from Ackermann’s workshop.
