Ackermann carved the retable’s décor largely by himself, further developing what he had done for the Simuna retable in regard to the ornamentation and figures.

Ackermann similarly carved the allegorical virtues Faith, Hope, and Love for the Vigala retable. The Simuna Church retable has similar statues as well.
