The carving style and structure of the cornice figures differ from those of the statues that were carved in Ackermann’s workshop. It cannot be ruled out that the statues of the angels and Christ are from some other church in the near vicinity (perhaps Haljala or Kadrina, for instance, where the old retable was replaced by a new one in neo-Gothic style in the 19 th century).
