Pezold’s painting Calvary was stolen from the retable in Türi Church in 1990. As a result, the original painting that had been hidden for over 130 years was exposed. Inspired by this, Pezold’s painting The Last Supper was also removed from the retable. Thus the old Türi retable at least partially got back its baroque chromatic scale.
